OUR CORE VALUES = JESUS.
THROUGH HIS LIFE, WE BELIEVE JESUS SHOWED US HOW TO LOVE, AND LOVE ITSELF.
MORE LIGHT MINISTRIES
Following the risen Christ, and seeking to make the Church a true community of hospitality, the mission of More Light Presbyterians is to work for the full participation of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) people in the life, ministry, and witness of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and in society.
MLP’s logo reflects our mission and incorporates the communion elements of bread and wine, as well as rainbow colors evocative of stained glass church windows. These elements express the hospitality of Christ, and of the welcoming church movement, and the theology and practice of the open table. We are called together as many grains that form one bread. We share one cup.

STEPHEN MINISTRY
New Hope Presbyterian is proud to be a member of Stephen Ministries.
Stephen Ministry Congregations equip and empower lay caregivers – called Stephen Ministers – to provide high-quality, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting and going through tough times like grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, or any other life crisis. We currently have six trained Stephen Ministers including three Stephen Leaders in our congregation. All personal discussions with a Stephen Minister are confidential and shared with no one. For more information or to request a Stephen Minister please contact us via e-mail.
OUR HISTORY
New Hope Presbyterian Church is an all inclusive church located in the heart of Columbus, Georgia. This congregation is the merger of two Presbyterian churches Morningside Presbyterian and All Saints Presbyterian. In early 2020 the two Churches brought their beliefs together and welcomed a new pastor Coleen Cook, who leads us each week.
We are planning big things for our future as we navigate the world and bring the word of Jesus into our everyday lives!
